As a young Texan, Heather McVay always had a love of dance, music and helping others. Heather attended Texas Christian University and Texas A&M University of Corpus Christi where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science as well as a minor in Chemistry. For the past 19 years, Heather was in the medical field and most recently (14 yrs) operating room sales. She currently works with Bayside Pilates and Fitness as a pilates Instructor, where she also Instructs spin, barre and TRX Suspension training classes.
Growing up, Heather competed in gymnastics, ballet, was a Texas state swim competitor, and was chosen as a UCA cheerleader representing USA in London in 1992 and serving on staff in 1998. With her ballet background and natural love of performing, Heather became hooked on pilates in 2004. She then discovered PILOXING in 2012, and has been a Master Trainer for the brand’s four formats since 2013.
Heather has performed at the IDEA Fitness Conference (Los Angeles) for the past 3 years, and SCW Dallas Mania as USA Master Trainer for the past 5 years.
In 2016, Heather represented the USA during PILOXING’s first Ringside event at FIBO in Cologne, Germany. Also in 2016 she was able to complete her comprehensive pilates education and certification with Body Arts and Science International and obtained her 500 hour Foundation and Comprehensive Apparatus certification in 2017. Heather also teaches SUP Pilates in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Having visited over ten countries, Heather is always taking her passion for fitness abroad. In 2017, she represented USA for Piloxing, LLC in ZC, China. This year (2018) she will once again represent the USA team in Vienna Austria for their Ringside Event.
Mattie obtained her Pilates training through Body Arts and Science International, and is excited to share and further develop her training skills. She holds a BA in Kinesiology from Southwestern University, completing coursework in anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, movement analysis, and exercise prescription.
Mattie is passionate about health and fitness, as well as helping others achieve their personal fitness goals. Her love of Pilates and Barre was instantaneous, and she hopes to inspire others through its mind and body approach to live a happy and healthy life.
Andrea completed a 500 hour Pilates program through Body Arts and Science International (BASI) that is based on anatomy, physiology and scientific principles. The BASI method is recognized as a contemporary approach to Joseph Pilates’ original method of exercise and strengthening. Andrea is an active member and is also certified through the Pilates Method Alliance. In 2013 Andrea trained under celebrity fitness expert Tracey Mallet creator of “Booty Barre”. In 2016 she became a Breast Cancer Restoration Specialist through Pilates Therapeutics.
Andrea's goal is to provide everyone from beginners to athletes, with a fun, yet technically challenging class that will leave them feeling strong and energized!
